Dr. Andrés F. Trasarti received his B.S. degree at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL) in 1998, and his Ph.D. degree at UNL in 2005, under the direction of Dr. Carlos Apesteguía. After one year of post-doctoral work, he joined in 2007 as “Investigador Asistente” to the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) at the Institute of Research on Catalysis and Petrochemistry (INCAPE). In 2018 he obtained the category of “Investigador Independiente” on CONICET. Andrés is Professor of the National University of Litoral (UNL) at the School of Chemical Engineering (FIQ). Since 2022 is vice director of the INCAPE. The work of Dr. Trasarti in the fine-chemistry field on GICIC involves research on selective hydrogenation (citral, cinnamaldehyde, nitriles to amines and/or imines), synthesis of menthols, and functionalized-olefin metathesis.
